5 things I learned about posture from my peck massage
I know what you are thinking and you are not wrong. It is a massage of the pectoral muscles and embarrassingly enough they sit right by my boobs. My husband insisted that he could be of service but he knows nothing about strained muscles therefore I made a visit to my chiropractor. Doctor visits are always interesting to me as I always seem to walk out from a new lesson. This time was no different. I learned that:
1) Posture is a form of being polite to your body. Its not about slouching to relax or to sit up right 24/7 but to find the right balance amongst the two to maintain a healthy structure. Great posture is always a plus for a fun tea party, pinky finger lifted and all.
2) Daily training to have a healthy spine is NOT on a "need to do" basis but a good daily habit of stretching and exercise especially since it promotes proper muscle movement to skeletal function. It is as easy as a 10 minute routine that can be done even in the shower. I'm all for double tasks that actually work.
3) Attention to your daily posture and repetitive movement is a must. The importance is not in the movements we make but how we strain our body to make them. If you don't correct over extensions and constant strain you can have minor body aches. Not worried? Try months and years of strain which can cause future spine misalignment or issues that require surgical correction. Ouch! Avoid those big problems today with chin up, stand up straight, shoulders back. Mary Poppins sure knows her stuff.
4) Adjusting repetitive movements may simply mean reorganizing of your work space. Its all about making your work desk work for your body movement. Check out my 15 minutes to a happy desk and a stress free wrist post to see how I'm putting this advice into action.
5) Don't underestimate your shoes and the amount of time you live in them. While vacuuming in high heels is a top sexy move in my book. It soon looses its appeal when your posture is affected when the pins and needle walk turns into the walk of shame to the chiropractor for adjustment. Use the right shoes for the right job. Ladies, let's vow to love our feet. There are so many cute sensible sexy shoes today that we no longer have to go band aid crazy on our feet to wear them.Visit my Cute soles for my soul post for a collective of favorite shoes that makes fashion sense and my back & knees happy.
How about you doll? Did you have to change habits to better your posture? What small changes have you done to better your life? If you have rearranged your desk I would love to hear about it? Share your story in the comments below.

Organized table top sorter
There are many reinventions happening around the office this month. Its been a month of renovation and rejuvenating. (aka Painting) Walls have changed their hues, items have shifted and furniture has been ordered. Big changes happening around here. New desk, paper sorting and new organization systems are being put in place. I will give you low down on that in a later post. For now I have an organization "tid bit" to share with you.
The first challenge of my new space was the lack of space. Due to my cozy desk I had to re-think my organization, ease of use, and recycling needs. So I trashed many unecessaries and I placed my pens, stapler, and general items on my desk for easy reach. Then it stared at me! My first eyesore challenge, my desktop paper sorter. YUCK!

I dub it "my horrible". It actually is a monitor stool but I seldom use things for what they are. Anyway, this sorter worked before but I didn't see its ugly face since it was behind my phone, but now it stares at me from behind my monitor. This ugly thing isn't making me happy. So I turned to Pinterest, like the pinterest junkie that I am, to find a pretty solution. I found this really pretty sorter. Well it isn't a sorter. It is a Magazine holder with vertical file folders. Here is the pinspiration and the answer to my ugly sorting problem.
This project turned out great thank you to Pinterest. Well, Before you, Pin With Us! Check out the "Pin"spiration to the left. This picture was pinned by Emily Howey and you can find it in her Filling Board. Isn't it creative? In this picture the filing system was created by using a cardboard box. I thought about it, but I really just need my storage box now and time wasn't something I wanted to spend in recreating this system. So I came up with a solution.
My shopping list consisted of a pretty magazine holder as well as folders to create separation. I scurried to Target (they always have pretty things there) to find my magazine holder. As I was looking for any standard folder to be used as labeled separators, I found these..
Vertical backpack folders? Wow Target, Right on cue! What can I say Awesome little things excite me.
There was no need to modify these in any way. Touchdown! OK well, I still modified them. What can I say its my nature.
Minor adjustment, small sticky notes to label the tabs and done. I can change out the sticky notes depending on my storing needs. That's it! No biggie.
What do you think? Was this an improvement? Could you use one of these on your desk? I hope so because it works like a charm and it's oh so pretty. Let me know what you think? I'm always open to constructive criticism or plane old love.
Keep it simple, keep it creative, keep it real..fun!
Best Regards, Cisne

Organized mess
Having a piled on, over filled and stuffed into organization system that is one hot mess? Many of us are or may have been, at one point in our lives, a hot mess. I, for one, refuse to return to that! Continuously strive to maintain an orderly, organized, separated and (god help us) labeled organized mess. Being an organized mess and leaving the "ugh's" behind and replacing them with "ooh nice" and "hi fives" is well worth it.
Being an organized mess isn't easy though, it takes practice. Especially when this organization requires that all those bulky, too many but need all of them kind of items find their way into bins, drawers, and possible trash spots. Although the idea of selling, gifting or plain old trashing items may pose somewhat of a psychological challenge it may hinder our ability to succeed with our overall goal and view of ourselves. Sounds intense? Not to worry you aren't doing it alone. This journey is a liberating step that will help you grow wings and find your pride. Organization isn't an overnight process and it takes practice. By tackling one eyesore at a time we too can be an organized mess.

NEWS trending Jan 2013
Each New Year inspires a new perspective and if you're like me you are excited to make waves in 2013.
I'm personally looking forward to purchasing a NEW Microsoft Surface as well as sketching up some fun invitations, and spending time with friends and family. Most of all, I can't wait to live the moments that will take my breath away. The best part of these moments is that we can record them or snap a shot for our albums. Yay, I love technology! These are a few shots I would love in my photoalbum. I came across these great photos when I opened my Pinterest of the week e-mail today. I was quickly captivated by Alison Vandehei's photography of couples board. The photography is beautiful and I had to give kuddos to the photographers and their great eye for fun photos. Don't worry "Kuddos" is a good thing. Two thumbs way up in my book.

I want to be flagged for some good Lovin like this couple. This is a great picture of simple yet fun elements that make you want to say aww! I find this pose a necessity in any great photo album. Photograph by: Dainty Blue
A simple, I love this photo wouldn't do. I was intrigued Sooo....I had to do a little digging up of the fabulous photographer of this creative shot. Her name is Maritza and when you visit her site you get the overall feel of her lens insight; clean, authentic and filled with the hearts song. Not only does she say so herself, I completely agree! Her work is fabulous and she has a great eye for natural feelings as they are reflected in her shots. There you have it if you are in search of a great photographer feel free to say hello to Maritza, I'm sure she will love to accommodate your every photography needs.
As I continued "paroozing" Alison Vandehei's couple photography board I came across another photo that I love for its element of fun and the diverse ways you can use this photo taken by Big Bang photography.
I realize this is not a typical couple photo and this is the reason why I loved it. One look at this photo and my mind runs wild with many ways to use this photo; engagement announcement, Save the dates or as a daily reminder of love to be taped on your loved ones windshield. These are only a few ways that you can use this photo, but I'm sure there are tons of things you can do with this fun shot.
"live" shot
As I continued to admire these photographs I can't help but wonder what other great shots will come about this year. I'm rea;lly loving all of these feel this new wave of shots. Photography is moving in a new direction, a very naturally lively direction and I love it. The "typical" stand and shoot sessions seems to be behind us, thank goodness. No offence those make great yearbook pictures but I crave shots where life happens.
I have a few ideas for my very own live shots that will be included into my photoalbum. I want a partner in crime shot where gentleman give the lady a boost over a wall or fence. Don't worry we won't break any laws maybe just broken falls and silly smiles. I will also include a pillow fight scene. Pretty self explanatory, but I do want to capture the fun, laughter and the feather spills. Ooh that sounds messy and awesome! I will keep you posted on those pictures coming soon. How about you, Do you have any fun ideas for fun photos. Feel free to share them below, I would love to hear your great ideas.

Inspirational
"Help is on the Way"
If you have come across your literal or imaginary shoe I invite you to turn another leaf on organization because "help is on the way" (so eloquently said by Robin williams as Mrs.Doubtfire). You see I have begun an organization course on a leap of faith on Alejandra of AlejandraTV. I came across Alejandra's channel on YouTUBE.com. I love you tube and even more so now that I found AlejandraTV. Alejandra is an organization gooroo that has learned from her own search for caotic liberation which is one of the reason why I believe in her skills. Its one thing to teach from books and another is because you've walked the walk as they say. Look up her channel and see how she has organized her life or take her fre 7-day organization classes and tell me she doesn't inspire you? I encourage you to take the plunge and come along with with me on my organization courses to declutter the "shoes" in life.I have completed the 7 day free course last week and I have begun the full life-course this week and it has been great thus far. I promise no to be a spoiler but I will be sharing my progress or tidbits of my organization from here forth. One of the items on the To Do list is to create an inspirational paragraph, phrase or quote for a daily boost of confidense. I wanted to share mine with you. Anyone that knows me knows that I love Audrey so it was only natural that my inspirational sheet be of her wise words. Share your thoughts on the course, AlejandraTV or my Audrey inspiration sheet, I'd love to read your thoughts.
If you wish a print out of my inspirational sheet please feel free to let me know by leaving a comment below.

Hearty Events
Simplicity, extraordinary, comfort event created entirely from functional daily items remastered for a different purpose to give a new life.
For example fabric bunting has found new life in adding
a joyous atmosphere of color to your event. I remember
when bunting was simply a way to lure us to a car dealership and look at it now. I'm so proud of its new life pictures so beautifully by AFeteBeckons.
I'm not sure I would let any of these adorably dresses bridesmaids on a horse but their boots are another simple touch in creating the perfect informal formal. Lets not overlook these great dresses by sohomode. Simply darling. Did you catch the third informal touch that perfects this event. Umbrellas! I knew I wasn't the only one to catch that. Yay for us! Umbrellas come in many colors and sizes and they don't have to match plus they double as a great photo prop.
Umbrellas can be used for the bridal party pictures and here's an idea for the bride and groom pictures. How so? Picture this, the groom can hold the umbrella covering the smooch from his beautiful bride. So cute a shot that would be to leave it to the imagination. Let's take this a little further and in the perfect angle against the sun the couples kiss will be the perfect silhouette to that sweet photo shoot. Wowza! That would make any scrapbook page blush.
If you found all these touches then you know your informality. It is these simple informal touches that have given informal formals its increase in popularity.
They are personal touches of everyday living with a new twist. Some would say this is an eclectic affair pictured above and that is fair to say as well, but it is very functional and rather simple to do with basic everyday items. It just takes a little imagination.

52 weeks of Mail
When you think about it, it’s amazing to realize how easy it is to send cards, letters, and greetings anywhere in the world. Sometimes it takes a while to get there, admittedly, but there’s nothing like the look and feel of handwriting on paper. It’s not as fast as the internet, of course, but it’s just as easy, it’s accessible to everyone, and it’s deeply personal.
You might not know that World Post Day is coming up on October 9, marking the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union’s establishment in 1874. The union aimed to create and maintain a structure for the free flow of international mail around the world.
The Etsy Greetings Team, a collection of over 100 artists from all over the globe who collaborate to promote the art and craft of card making, is celebrating World Post Day by issuing a challenge that we are calling 52 Weeks of Mail. This idea sprung from one member’s desire to keep in touch better with friends and loved ones, and to be intentional about relationships. The idea is for people to commit to sending at least one personal note, card, letter, or postcard to people they know, once a week for a year. Of course, you can send MORE than one, but that’s up to you. Just think how happy this will make the Postal Services around to the world—not to mention those old friends!!
Here are three ways you can participate: read full article here
Starting today..
The winners will be randomly selected and posted on World Post Day, October 9th. Which is this Sunday.
As the 52 Weeks of Mail progress
For some wonderful greeting cards
