mAD TeA PArtY 2010

Through the rabbit hole little voices I do hear.
My heart flutters as the time dearly draws near.

A checklist found drowned ink with catastrophe of all preperations
to host all those dear to me
Oh gooodness who are those voises my rabbit dear?

Peer into the hole rabbit and see what you see
Rabbit ~Simply the trolls drawing near.

Those corky old things 2 inches yay and they stomp

with excitement as they have patiently awaited this day.

But wait something else draws near

I Sees that you all have stumbbled into my whymsical decree of tea time proportions and fancyful tea. Yes, my dear I said tea. The light must have drawn you all throught the rabbit hole and curiousity has brought you to me

The table and the napkins seem to have all met.

Your setings are placed but there simply is no place

you see the crompets ran off to the door and the table legs

snatched them whole. It shrunk to the knees and please please you

simply must see we are all Mad here and we love you to be.

My manners seem to have run to the door without the crumpets.

Delighted we are to have you, yes delighted in deed.

Welcome, that first step is a doozy.
Be kind to my tree house for it holds magical things that don't wish to become unseen. The best yet in fact is where you happen to be. The entry to teas is sitting through the light be careful as you may step onto a guest to your right. The beetles seem to take to you so watch your feet we must't make them late for thats simply uncanning in deed.

As laughter fills the room feel free to brows the folklore saloon

they seem to be missing the moon.

You see the spoon ran off with my head and the cow jumped course to the moon.

Help them see as the are missing

their hen seems she has found a todo and ran out of the pen.

To kansas they have fled and there you simply are reading...

Oh dear oh my just look at the time.

The queen is on her page and ram is his name.

Through the rabbit hole you must go until the day you visit once more.

Visit us soon as many of the folk tale, Alice, Hatter items peer their presence to the Cubie corner at http://www.cisnexpresions.etsy.com/

Trade Secrets

July " Trade Secrets "

I just came from a wonderful post of much Value. How Do You Measure Product Value vs. Trade Equity?-by MCatherine over at www.etsymomentum.com . It brought up a great point and a crazy Mad yet brilliant idea over value. Woah! Will Robbinson, slow your role and take control?

Were simply MAD here therefore its accepted, proceed in deed.

Well, have you stepped into the light and really thought about the value of your product? Take into consideration the time it takes to create, package and ship your product. The customer service of following up and all contingent efforts to be known as a good seller are also important. Add all those things to the mix and then price your item. Step out of your skin and look at your item as a consumer. Would you pay the ticket price for your item?
Great question, Quisas? (Latin for maybe).
Well we all know that value is of great importance and is primarily based on how the item is cherished. It’s unfortunate that there are a few that don’t capture value in its true form, sentiment. Therefore you must have answered undoubtedly yes.

Here is a take on Sentiment value. These items are utmost importance
They are as precious as the items that grandmothers store in their armoire. Many items as insignificant as they may seem hold a priceless significance to us. My “dear to my heart” item came from a candy vending machine. Dear not for its nickel and dime value but for the sentiment it carries. A mere quarter size, red, rubber, beetle was given to me by my precious daughter dear when she was a yee toddler. It welcomes my travels softens my Monday{s} and warms me on those cold and dreary days as it sits on my speedometer whispering slow down and smell the roses.

As tender as that item is to me, I don’t speak of it to avoid it losing its magic. For you see we are all just simply Mad here and magic is the best thing to feel. We must bottle it up and retain it for as long as possible.

Well, I showed you mine now show me yours?
What is your dear to heart possession? Please do tell, Why is it so dear?

Since we are on the subject of valuable items I would like to take a time out for tea so that I can welcome you to the idea that this article bloomed.
Well, being that July is observed for liberty then free yourselves from all inhibitions and trade. “Trade Secrets” is name of the game. Value an item! Trade for it. Go tribal, go liberal, go get it !!

If you would like to participate please do so and let us know here so we can browse through your cherished items as well as we offer ours to you. Those open to participate please say YAY! and include the following

{ Comment on what delectable items you hold in your shop and let us know where to find these awesome items leave your shop link or website address along with a blog address if you so choose}

The blog, my dear, is for us to follow you as you in turn follow us. I see you typing at lights speed but
Slow Will Robinson! Only those open to participate will be found listed here. Look forward to a great July of “Trade Secrets”. Don’t keep it secret Mad Teas isn’t just for me you see. Madness should fluster in great big numbers and spread sugary sweetness to all.
Please do share everywhere.

Sharing often, shy sparingly and always craft cheerfully

Feature Friday - EtsyGreetingsBlogspot.com

Feature Friday - May 21st, 2010

It’s all about spectacular shops on Fridays here at Etsy Greetings.

This week we introduce to you a newly integrated shop full of charm and whimsy. This shop goes by

Rowena (the artist) is a beauty of whimsy at work with her best selling Alice in wonderland items. Shes located just around the corner at http://www.craftypagan.etsy.com/

Thank you Rowena for the opportunity to allow us to peer into your creativity from behind the scenes. Now do tell, What is it that makes Crafty Pagan the great shop it is.

1. Tell us about you and your shop.

I'm 27, very happily married with a 2 year old little boy. We live in in the UK. I'm a stay at home mum but in any and all of my spare time I craft and run my etsy shop

2. How did you get started in your craft?

I've been into arts and crafty things most of my life but didn't really get the stamping bug until I was pregnant when I discovered scrapbooking. Soon after I found stamping and things have developed from there really! I get such a sense of achievement making pretty and unique cards and gifts and I love the thought of my work brightening someone's day on the other side of the world! Although I'm a UK seller 99% of my customers are overseas:)

3. What tool could you not live without?

I couldn't live without my cuttlebug to cut all my alice in wonderland tags-especially since they're my most popular item!

4. What inspires you?

So many things! Colours, textures, movies, art and the wonderful blogging community-I can look for hours at the stunning work that stampers/cardmakers etc produce on their blogs!

5. Name one favorite item from your store?

Well my bestselling items are most definitely from my Alice in Wonderland section
I think almost everyone loves the book and their love for all things Alice has been reignited by the fab Tim Burton film. On that note here's a link to my Alice in Wonderland place cards-I just love these!

It’s awesome to be featured on the Friday Features post on Etsy Greetings!
It's an honour to be featured! Thanks so much, it really means a lot to me:) Rowena xxx

Defenitely adding this shop to my favorites. Hope you enjoyed this segment of Feature Friday.

Until next friday, keep it real crafty cheek and all unique.
